Partnership, precision and performance
At Europe’s leading intralogistics trade fair, MiTek will present its portfolio of mezzanine solutions for large warehouse and logistics operations. The company’s modular systems are tailored to create additional usable space and integrate seamlessly into both manual and automated warehouse environments.
MiTek draws on decades of global experience in the design and delivery of multi-level mezzanine systems. The company’s strong track record across a broad range of sectors, combined with close collaboration with system integrators and AutoStore partners, underpins solutions that perform reliably in real-world operations.
“Our steel mezzanines are tailored to the individual needs of each customer,” explains Bart Pulles, Operations & Sales Manager at MiTek. “We offer a complete service – from initial consultation and design through to implementation and turnkey delivery. From automotive and fashion to food, e-commerce and omnichannel distribution, we can deliver the right solution. Partnership, precision and performance are the key factors behind a successful mezzanine project.”
MiTek has delivered more than 20,000 steel platform solutions worldwide to clients including Amazon, Decathlon, DHL, Jaguar Land Rover and H&M. Many are large in scale – for example, the company recently delivered a mezzanine solution for leading UK retailer, Next, that provides more than 100,000 m² of floor space across five levels.
Greenfield and brownfield projects
MiTek works closely with end users, leading system integrators and AutoStore partners on both greenfield and brownfield projects. “Having worked with 9 of the world’s top 10 system integrators, we possess a deep understanding of the automated systems that our structures support,” says Pulles. “Whether a project is greenfield or brownfield, the earlier we are involved in the planning, the more efficiently our steel solutions can be integrated into the overall warehouse concept.”
Flexible, scalable and cost-effective
Early involvement in a project allows MiTek to maximise the value of a mezzanine solution. Key requirements can be incorporated from the outset, ensuring the resulting systems are flexible, scalable and cost-effective. In this way, they can evolve alongside the customer’s business needs and emerging technologies.
“If a customer wants to keep the option open to automate their intralogistics in the future – even if operations are manual at the time of order – we take this into account from the outset,” Pulles explains. “We design structures that can accommodate the higher loads associated with automated systems. At the same time, we avoid over-engineering. Some customers don’t require a high-end solution; a more cost-effective, mid-range option is often perfectly sufficient. Depending on the customer’s anticipated future business needs, we always recommend the solution that makes the most sense.”
Steel construction for AutoStore systems
MiTek can provide the robust and precise steelwork required to support intralogistics automation. “The use of mezzanines in automated systems is steadily increasing, particularly as a supporting structure for AutoStore,” says Pulles.
The company has extensive experience with AutoStore, having delivered more than 15 installations across Europe. Notable among these is the solution for a multinational fashion retailer in Czechia; MiTek’s scope of supply included not only mezzanine platforms but also structures to support an AutoStore system comprising 2,500 robots and 500,000 bins.
On its stand, 1K46 in Hall 1, at LogiMAT, MiTek will demonstrate how tailored, high-performance mezzanines can maximise warehouse space and efficiency, whatever the size or complexity of the project. “We are committed to providing customers with competitive yet future-proofed solutions,” says Bart Pulles, “and we look forward to welcoming visitors onto our stand.”
