While still located in the established and strategically located Kings Hill business park in Kent, the new premise – the first floor of 42 Kings Hill Avenue – are one third larger than the previous building.
“The new offices provide us with a more attractive and spacious base to facilitate hybrid working and future growth,” comments Matt Loveday, Managing Director. “This will help to ensure that we can retain and recruit the staff required to meet the needs of our expanding customer base.”
The move is the latest in a series of relocations over the past few decades, as the company has continued to grow. Beginning in an office in Tonbridge in 1992, the business – then known as Mezzanine International – moved to a bigger unit in nearby East Peckham in 2007. Further growth led to the move to 11 Tower View in Kings Hill in 2013, with a further unit being taken in 2016 to accommodate the Innovation Hub for research, development and testing.
Rapid growth in the UK and Europe meant that a new location was opened in Cologne, Germany, in early 2017. Later that year, both the UK and European businesses were acquired by global building solutions supplier, MiTek Inc. In 2020 the UK and European operations were merged with Cubic Designs in the US and renamed MiTek Mezzanine Systems. In a final administrative step, the UK mezzanine operation became part of MiTek Industries Ltd, headquartered in Dudley, in 2022.
