Analysis of figures for 2019 showed that MiTek Mezzanine Systems achieved a 19% market share, while the country's top four mezzanine suppliers controlled almost half the market between them (48%).
MiTek Mezzanine Systems achieved 51% more sales than the competitor with the second-highest turnover. In terms of sales growth, MiTek was the only one of the four major players to achieve a positive figure (9.3%), while the other three experienced sales shrinkage of between 5 and 29%. MiTek also achieved the highest level of pre-tax profit of the top four.
"The Plimsoll analysis is very heartening," commented Scott Chambers, Managing Director of MiTek Mezzanine Systems Ltd. "Our company performs well on so many measures. One that immediately stood out for me was Sales Per Employee – at £429,000, it is well above the industry average of £277,000. This demonstrates just how motivated and productive the MiTek team is."
Scott Chambers believes the figures that MiTek Mezzanine Systems will achieve in 2020 will surpass those of 2019. "Earlier this year, we rebranded to MiTek Mezzanine Systems – along with our sister companies in Germany and the US – to create the first global mezzanine company. Having a global footprint has definitely paid dividends by helping us to secure important new contracts this year. In addition," concludes Chambers, "we've experienced a huge uptick in demand for mezzanine systems for projects in the e-commerce sector as a result of the pandemic."
