With people being at the heart of MiTek’s success, we are committed to implementing the highest standards of health, safety and wellbeing for our employees, subcontractors and customers. All our site and office staff receive health and safety training, which is regularly reviewed in order to minimize risks and continuously improve the way we work.
We expect not only our staff but also those who represent us to be dedicated to continuous improvement in Health, Safety & Environment (HSE). To help us in our drive to eliminate risks and minimize our environmental impact, we have invested in an online induction platform for our employees and approved suppliers. From 1 January 2023, all staff and partners working on or visiting our construction sites will be required to pass MiTek’s mandatory online HSE induction course prior to attending site.
“This is a significant step to help ensure safe systems of work for our employees and onsite installation teams,” explains Keith Aldrich, Procurement & Contracts Director, “and raises the bar within MiTek in terms of HSE as part of our Work Safe, Home Safe commitment.”
Once passed, the induction certificate is valid for a year, with staff and partners not required to repeat the process when moving between projects. At the end the 12-month period, a reminder email will be automatically sent to advise that a refresher course is needed.
